Job Title: Investigations Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Investigations Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a small legal team, leading investigations and resolving complaints against solicitors.

The role involves expeditious analysis and investigation of disclosures by and complaints against solicitors, drafting relevant notices, examining and investigating matters, researching and reporting on findings, obtaining evidence, and liaising with stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will require strong leadership and management skills, sound knowledge of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and related legislation, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

You will also need to possess a proven ability to use clear, concise language in correspondence and reports, and to plan and organise self and others to ensure the completion of tasks.

Requirements:
  • Legal qualifications and extensive relevant experience
  • Admission as a lawyer and holding or eligible to hold a practising certificate
  • Supervisory experience highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and related legislation
  • Good grasp of solicitor's accounting practice
  • Proven ability to use clear, concise language in correspondence and reports
