
Student Progress Specialist

The Year Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting students, fostering a positive school culture that promotes student wellbeing and engagement. This involves strategic planning and collaboration with teachers, families, and external agencies to achieve academic success.
- Attend regular meetings with teaching staff to review student progress and develop tailored support plans.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement behaviour management strategies and provide individualised pastoral care.
- Collaborate with Heads of Learning Area and families to identify student needs and develop targeted interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Organise events that promote student engagement and wellbeing, such as assemblies, reward initiatives, and advocacy programs.
- Support teachers with behaviour management and student wellbeing initiatives in the classroom.
- Participate in case conferences with parents and external agencies to address student needs.
- Conduct enrolment interviews and prepare student timetables for new students.
- Manage course changes and behavioural referrals efficiently.
- Monitor student progress using data systems and oversee the Good Standing process.
Requirements:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting employment.
- Obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencing work.
