Job Title: Student Support Officer

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a support specialist to join the team at Duncraig Senior High School.

This role requires strong computer skills using Microsoft Office 365 programs and experience in student information systems and Compass student management software.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.

They should also be confident working in a fast-paced environment, with an eye for detail and the ability to generate statistical reports, pastoral care correspondence, and attendance records.

As the face of day-to-day interactions with students, the successful candidate will need to build positive relationships through effective communication.

The Student Support Officer will provide pastoral care and administrative support services within the school, including supporting the Student Services team and other staff members.

  • Provide supportive services to students and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills using Microsoft Office 365 programs and experience in SIS and Compass.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks for the Student Services section.
  • Interact with students on a daily basis and build positive relationships through effective communication.
