Job Description

As part of our efforts to deliver electricity to 2 million Victorian customers, we are seeking a professional to support environmental, planning and heritage assessments for projects across CitiPower and Powercor. This role will play a key part in ensuring our networks are ready to meet the demand of electrifying everything from homes to transport.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects, supporting the assessment and approval processes, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Brooklyn or Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake preliminary assessment of project scope and concept designs to identify potential environmental impacts
  • Coordinate environmental, planning, and heritage assessments for projects, working closely with internal teams and external consultants
  • Review project scopes, reports, and plans to ensure environmental and heritage requirements are integrated
  • Coordinate site surveys, environmental assessments, and other necessary activities to minimize disruptions to our customers
  • Track the progress of environmental and heritage approval processes to ensure timely completion
Requirements
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental resource management or related field
  • Construction induction training (white card), or the ability to obtain
  • General understanding knowledge of environmental protection legislation relevant to projects and field works
  • Understanding of environmental management principles and practices
  • Experience in a similar role in either consulting, infrastructure, extractive and/or construction industry
