Connected Beginnings Program Coordinator

The Connected Beginnings program aims to integrate early childhood, maternal and child health, and family support services within school settings in Tennant Creek. This initiative seeks to ensure children are healthy and well-prepared for school by developing and coordinating pathways between services.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain connections with pre-school and kindergarten, parenting support groups, breastfeeding support groups, healthy eating programs, and community members.
- Develop connections with other Anyinginyi Health programs.
- Track and report on collective impact, developing internal monitoring tools.
- Provide reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, and information sessions to managers and other Anyinginyi Health staff.
- Help draft policies and procedures to improve child health outcomes.
- Attend community and health sector forums, representing the organisation, and progressing Anyinginyi Health strategic objectives.
About You
As a successful candidate for this role, you will have experience managing projects and budgets, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, respect for Aboriginal culture and diversity, and the ability to demonstrate leadership as well as work in team settings and autonomously. You will also need to be able to demonstrate cultural safety and understand the purpose of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification or experience in project management or coordination, preferably in community development or a related field.
- Experience using online meeting technology (MS Teams) for online meetings and collaborative project-based work.
- Experience driving 4WD vehicles and a willingness to travel to remote communities.
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
- Knowledge of social and health issues confronting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.
- Previous experience living and working in a remote area.
