About the Role

The Connected Beginnings program aims to integrate early childhood, maternal and child health, and family support services within school settings in Tennant Creek.

This role is responsible for developing and coordinating pathways between services to improve the outcomes and development of children.

Key responsibilities include establishing connections with pre-schools, kindergartens, parenting support groups, breastfeeding support groups, healthy eating programs, and community members.

You will also develop connections with other Anyinginyi Health programs, track and report on collective impact, and provide reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.

This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, respect for Aboriginal culture and diversity, and leadership abilities.

You must have experience managing projects and budgets, and be able to demonstrate cultural safety and understand the purpose of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.

About the Team

You will be part of a friendly and professional team that provides holistic primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.

Anyinginyi Health consists of four different sections: Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit, and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families, allowing for a comprehensive approach to health.

The organisation's mission is to provide high-quality holistic primary health care services in a culturally responsive way.

About You

To be successful in this position, you must have a qualification or experience in project management or coordination, preferably in community development or a related field.

You should also have experience using online meeting technology (MS Teams) for online meetings and collaborative project-based work.

Prior experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health is highly desirable, as is knowledge of social and health issues confronting Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory.

A willingness to travel to remote communities and drive 4WD vehicles is also required.

Benefits

As a full-time employee, you will receive a salary of $95,235.00 - $111,740.00 per annum, plus generous salary packaging benefits.

You will also be entitled to 6 weeks annual leave, free general dentistry, a Remote retention allowance of $750, and Relocation assistance up to $5,000 to help you settle into town.
