Senior Risk and Compliance Professional

The role of Senior Risk and Compliance Professional involves providing expert advice to strengthen risk and compliance capabilities, and optimize the risk and control environment. This requires proactively identifying risks through partnering with business, risk and compliance experts, and delivering services including issue and incident management, control advice, change risk assessment, risk reviews and governance.

In this position, you will be responsible for implementing and ensuring adherence to Operational and Compliance Risk Management Frameworks, advising on the management of incidents and issues, and partnering with stakeholders across the business and Risk Management to improve effectiveness of risk management activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing risk controls and ensuring ongoing adherence to risk frameworks
  • Providing risk advice on business change initiatives under the Change Management Risk Standard (CMRS)
  • Building strong risk awareness and culture within the organization
  • Implementing continuous improvement in risk processes

You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality risk advice and effective risk management solutions. You will have a solid understanding of Operational and Compliance Risk Management Frameworks and experience with issues and incidents, risk profiles and controls.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Solid experience in operational risk management ideally within retail banking
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk Management Frameworks and experience with issues and incidents, risk profiles and controls
  • Ability to think critically, analyze data, identify risks and issues, solve problems and recommend actions
