Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leaders to provide strategic guidance on regulatory, risk, and compliance matters.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous enhancement of risk and compliance frameworks across the division.
  • Elevate a strong risk and compliance culture through education and engagement.
  • Manage and monitor first-line risk practices, ensuring risk issues are identified and appropriately prioritised.
  • Support the business in applying and maintaining the Risk Management Framework.
  • Identify and assess regulatory changes, providing actionable guidance for implementation.
  • Review member communications, disclosure documents, and marketing materials for compliance.
  • Offer technical advice to support decision-making and regulatory interpretation.
  • Contribute to project risk oversight, ensuring initiatives align with compliance obligations.
  • Prepare risk reporting and insights for executive leaders, boards, and regulatory bodies.

About You

  • Possess a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as RG146, a Diploma of Superannuation Management, or equivalent certifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in operational risk and compliance, ideally within superannuation or financial services.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements across super, managed investments, and IDPS.
  • Display advanced ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory reforms.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement.
  • Show a strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and support senior leaders and teams.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Maintain strong ethical standards and commitment to delivering client-focused outcomes.
  • Be organised, analytical, and confident navigating ambiguity and driving continuous improvement.
