A leading contractor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, delivering complex construction programmes with strong financial and project management skills.

Job Overview
  • As Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of large-scale construction projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting budget targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, communicating effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Manage project expenditure, cash flow and risk identification, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate external engineering design aspects of projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, managing relationships and resolving potential conflicts.
  • Maintain robust health, safety, quality and environmental (HSEQ) practices across all projects.
  • Provide regular progress reports to clients, addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
  • Effectively communicate client expectations, ensuring positive relationships are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in successful project delivery, preferably with a builder/head contractor.
  • Strong leadership skills, motivating teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Detailed knowledge of local regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
