IT Procurement Manager
The IT Procurement Manager is a key role within the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial and Sourcing, this position oversees the procurement of IT-related goods and services.

This role requires strong engagement with senior staff across the University, working in close partnership with Service Divisions and external suppliers. The Manager also develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders across ITS, Colleges, Schools, and external suppliers to deliver effective outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant postgraduate qualifications and bring extensive experience in procurement, contract management, and administration within a large and complex environment. They will demonstrate proven expertise in managing the full procurement life cycle for strategic IT projects, including commercial negotiations, contract management, and providing high-level advice to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing expert advice and support in procurement activities
  2. Negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
  3. Maintaining policy compliance and commercial advisory functions
  4. Purchasing IT software and desktop hardware
  5. Administering purchase orders

Key skills required include exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Problem-solving abilities and commercial acumen are also essential for delivering effective procurement outcomes. A Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) will be highly regarded. Experience in IT procurement within a Commonwealth or tertiary institution environment is necessary.
