Training and Development Specialist

We are seeking an energetic and vibrant individual to join our team in a new role that offers the opportunity to make our Distribution Centre a gold standard site.

This pivotal position plays a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of our team members, including SRG and Labour Hire staff. Your mission will be to coach and mentor Team Managers, ensuring that our standards and capabilities are consistently elevated.

  • Deliver engaging orientation and induction programs for innovative training.
  • Support DC labour capability through comprehensive training and assessments to build capabilities.
  • Coach and uplift individual and collective performance against business performance requirements.
  • Proactively manage skill gaps and training needs in collaboration with the DC Leadership and the Learning Manager to drive skill development.
  • Coordinate training schedule and attendance for effective training coordination.

You will have the ability to confidently guide and realign team members to ensure adherence to standards. In addition, you will have:

  • Experience working within a high volume, multi-brand, Retail or 3PL distribution/logistics environment, or Retail stores.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively train and develop internal and labour hire staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and excel in their roles.
  • Understanding of CoR - Current Legislation and hazard identification/incident management and investigation.
  • Nice to have but not required: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Exposure to a Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma (Statistical Process Control) environment will be highly regarded.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills will be key to this role.
