Criminal Law Expertise

As a seasoned criminal solicitor, you will be responsible for managing complex case files and providing expert advocacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hearings with confidence and expertise.
  • Manage allocated cases, including pleas and contests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and outside agencies.
  • Track billable hours and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in regular meetings and draft professional correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Possess a LLB or JD qualification in Victoria.
  • Hold a Practical Legal Training qualification in Victoria.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contested hearing matters.
  • Demonstrate strong advocacy and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client files.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a prosecutor is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with LEAP Legal Software is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Location: Melbourne, AU. Ability to commute/relocate: St Kilda VIC. Required Work Authorisation: Australia.
