Administrative Support Officer Job OpportunityThis is a chance to contribute to a mission that transforms lives.We are looking for a dedicated individual to support our local Corps across South Australia. As an Administrative Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and community efforts.This position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for supporting our Corps Officers with various tasks, including staff and volunteer onboarding, volunteer training, and record-keeping.You will also have the opportunity to work independently, particularly when travelling across the state as needed. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about community work and has a heart for making a difference.The ideal candidate will possess experience in general administration, customer service, and strong computer literacy. They will also have good attention to detail and experience with systems like Workday (though not essential).Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Corps Officers with administrative tasks during staff and volunteer onboarding
  • Coordinating volunteer training to meet mandatory safety and compliance standards
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date volunteer records and ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Processing invoices, reimbursements, and managing asset registers
  • Liaising with IT, Payroll, and Finance teams to resolve local administrative needs
Requirements:
  • A heart for community and a friendly, professional approach to working with people
  • Experience in general administration, customer service, and strong computer literacy
  • Good attention to detail and experience with systems like Workday (ideal, but not essential)
  • Confidence working independently, especially across multiple sites or remote locations
  • An understanding of compliance in the not-for-profit or volunteer sector
  • Current driver's licence and ability to travel state-wide
  • Required background checks (Police, Working with Children/Vulnerable People)
