Job Summary

The Strategic Learning and Development Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the assessment of capability and capacity needs for Learning and Development across volunteers and staff within the Region. This role will oversee the service delivery of Learning and Development programs that enable an all communities, all emergencies approach to emergency management to ensure the Region develops and maintains the required standard of operational readiness and can respond effectively to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the assessment of capability and capacity needs for Learning and Development across volunteers and staff within the Region.
  • Oversee the service delivery of Learning and Development programs that enable an all communities, all emergencies approach to emergency management.
  • Maintain accreditation by the Emergency Management Commissioner, ensuring the appropriate advice and allocation of resources for emergency readiness and response.
  • Perform senior multi-agency Incident or Regional Controller or Agency Command functions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Learning and Development, emergency management, and leadership. You will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills.
