Trademark Attorney Position

We are seeking an experienced trademark attorney to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.

About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution;
  • Strategic trade mark portfolio management, including rebranding and clearance advice;
  • Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements;
  • Providing support on trademark and domain name disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution;
  2. Strategic trade mark portfolio advice, including rebranding and clearance advice;
  3. Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements;
  4. Advising on intellectual property aspects of due diligence;
  5. Providing support on trademark and domain name disputes.
Requirements:
  • An admitted Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand,
  • 1+ years of demonstrable experience in trademark prosecution,
  • A strong academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset,
  • A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading IP team,
  • An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously,
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
