Job Title: Family Violence Weekend Social WorkerLocation: Melbourne | Northern Metropolitan

This part-time, fixed-term position is a unique opportunity to work with a team dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to those affected by family violence.

As a Family Violence Weekend Social Worker, you will play a critical role in responding to risk, providing direct practice, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies for addressing family violence.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing expert family violence and child safe practice to referred patients
  2. Collaborating with community agencies to ensure comprehensive support and referrals
  3. Maintaining accurate health records and contributing to policy, procedure, guidelines, and educational resources
  4. Collecting data and undertaking quality improvement activities to enhance the hospital's response to family violence victims
Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience as a social worker, with a degree in Social Work
  • Clinical skills and specialist knowledge in responding to family violence and child safe matters
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
