The Weekend Coordinator provides remote, on-call support to Disability Support Workers (DSWs) during weekends and public holidays. The role includes a 3-hour administration period followed by a period of on-call support until ordinary duty commences on Mondays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all on-call activity, including details of the matter, advice provided, Level 2 escalations, and timing and duration of work performed.">
  • Engage in handover discussions with Coordinators to gain a strong awareness and understanding required to support each service within their division during the weekend.">
  • Follow Scope's Policies and Procedures at all times, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Support the values and behaviors that are important to the successful operation of the business; the Scope Approach.">

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in disability services with a solid understanding of developmental learning approaches, local community networks, and person-centered support.">
  • Empathy and a strong commitment to supporting and empowering people with disabilities to achieve their goals.">
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and fostering effective communication across staff groups.">
  • High-level IT proficiency to support independent, remote work across multiple systems.">
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and compliance with occupational health and safety and legal requirements.">
  • Well-developed networking and communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.">
  • Qualifications in Business Management, Disability Studies, and Community Services or the like (desirable).">
