Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our team at Dymocks. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a critical role in supporting our charitable initiatives, events, and campaigns at both local and national levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Fundraising Team: Assist in executing the overall communications plan, engagement initiatives, and activities to drive fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate Fundraising Initiatives: Develop and implement fundraising campaigns encompassing community, schools, events, and appeals to support our charitable objectives.
  • Event Management: Coordinate and support activities related to ongoing and new DCC events, including the annual gala dinner, to ensure their success and impact.
  • Donation Procurement: Procure donations of prizes and gifts to support fundraising events and activities, fostering strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with Dymocks stores, overseeing fundraising initiatives and campaigns to maximize their potential.
  • Administrative Support: Provide essential support across fundraising, events, and administrative functions, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal departments and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Donor Data Management: Input and maintain donor data into CRM (Salesforce) to support fundraising efforts effectively, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, donors, and team members. You will also have a proven track record in fundraising, event management, and relationship building, with a strong understanding of the charitable sector and its challenges.
