Job Description

Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our team at the Oasis Aquatic Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with inquiries, provide information about our facilities, services, and programs.
  • Handle Admissions and Transactions: Manage admission transactions, membership sign-ups, and program registrations, including enrolments for the Oasis Swim School.
  • Manage Bookings and Transactions: Handle bookings and transactions for Bolton Park Stadium.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organised Reception: Ensure the reception and foyer area is clean and organised at all times.
  • Answer Phone Calls and Manage Email Correspondence: Answer phone calls and manage email correspondence efficiently.
  • Assist with Merchandise and Swimwear Sales: Assist customers with merchandise and swimwear sales in the Oasis Swim Shop.
  • Assist with Programs: Assist with programs conducted at the Centre as required.
  • Ensure Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons by enforcing centre policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Training and Meetings: Participate in regular in-house training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Complete Other Reasonable Duties: Complete other reasonable duties or tasks as required in consultation with the Senior Customer Service staff and the Programs Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate: Hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
  • NSW Working with Children Check Clearance: Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Effectively in a Team: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: Possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Previous Experience in Customer Service: Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to Work AM & PM Shifts: Ability to work AM & PM shifts across all days of the week, including weekends, in accordance with rostering arrangements.
  • Commitment to WH&S: Be committed to the Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements of the role.
