Parklife Metro is leading a transformative Metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport. This joint venture aims to deliver 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

The Opportunity

">

We are seeking a skilled SITE ENGINEER to join our Linewide Rail team. The successful candidate will be employed by Webuild and work on-site in Badgerys Creek.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards.
  • Review and understand construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Liaise, communicate, and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes.
  • Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards.
  • Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation.
  • Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities.
  • Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns.
  • Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary.

Criteria

">
  • Rlevant Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or Project Management.
  • 2+ years' experience in a construction/engineering environment post-graduation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Awareness of budgets and timelines.
  • A passion for construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and have a good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering construction techniques.
