Clinical Nurse Specialist for School-Aged Children and Young PeopleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to make a meaningful difference in the lives of school-aged children and young people. As a WHIN Coordinator, you will identify health, wellbeing and social needs, coordinate early intervention, assessments, and referrals to services.
The role involves working closely with schools, applying specialist clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide complex care for students. You will facilitate collaborative partnerships between healthcare services, education providers, and families to support student health and wellbeing outcomes.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying health, wellbeing and social needs for school-aged children and young people attending designated primary and secondary schools
- Coordinating early intervention, assessments, and referrals to services
- Applying specialist clinical nursing knowledge and skills in providing complex care for students
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant clinical experience and qualifications as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating care for vulnerable populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
