Motor Claims Consultant

MAYDAY Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated Motor Claims Consultant to join a leading claims management and service delivery organization in Newcastle, NSW.

This role will manage end-to-end motor claims from initial contact through assessment, investigation, and settlement.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide brokers and stakeholders through the claims process, explaining requirements and steps.
  • Assist clients in preparing necessary documents to support their claims.
  • Facilitate effective communication to expedite the claims process.
  • Provide prompt attention to all claims from initial contact to settlement.
  • Investigate claims to assess their validity, gather evidence, and collaborate with involved parties.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies to secure fair settlements for clients.
  • Advocate for policyholders' rights to ensure they receive the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Manage claim-related documentation and maintain accurate claim file notes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth claim processes.
  • Participate in projects to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Requirements:

  • Experience within insurance claims, end-to-end motor claims an advantage.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to handle complaints and difficult situations professionally.
  • Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
