About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and proactive problem solver to join our Assessing Team as a Desktop Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral part in the claims process, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate and communicate assessing outcomes with external parties
- Determine accident circumstances / causes
- Determine the correct repair process and parts identification
- Review and negotiate the towing and recovery process
- Complete desktop style assessments, insured and third party assessments, and fair & reasonable settlements
- Provide written expert reports in a timely manner
- Produce repair authorities to repairers
- Process payment recommendations to claims
- Three to five years' experience in mechanical repairs (heavy motor experience highly regarded)
- Certificate in an automotive trade (desirable)
