Procurement and Contract Management Specialist

Location: Central CBD - Hybrid Work Arrangements

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract

$60-65 p/h + Super

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Contract Management Specialist to join our team in Central CBD. In this 6-month contract position, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement and contract process, optimizing spending, and ensuring alignment with our business objectives and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyzing Work Scope: Collaborate with various business functions to thoroughly analyze the scope of work and develop detailed specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
- Sourcing Oversight: Facilitate and manage the sourcing processes with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct a rigorous assessment to select the best suppliers, considering factors like quality, cost, and reliability.
- Complex Negotiations: Lead complex commercial negotiations to achieve the best possible value-for-outcomes, using negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for the organization.
- Service Level Agreements: Establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets, ensuring that contractual agreements align with business needs.

Requirements:

- Strategic Procurement: Demonstrated experience in strategic category and procurement lifecycle management, ideally within a large government or complex organization.
- Policy Familiarity: An in-depth understanding of the VGPB policy and procedures is desirable.
- Education: A tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, finance, or related fields is highly desirable.
