Procurement and Contract Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a procurement team that supports business operations. As a Procurement and Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of indirect products and services.

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect spend categories (mainly services) to support business operations,
  • Assisting internal stakeholders with the development of scopes of work and definition of contractual KPIs and SLAs,
  • Leading execution of tenders and supplier negotiations to final contract execution,
  • Drafting contracts and recommendation papers.

About You:
You have a passion for strategic sourcing and a solid commercial acumen coupled with an ability to influence and engage. Results oriented, you have a willingness to question the status quo and make informed commercial decisions.

Key Attributes:

  • A qualified degree in procurement/business with solid experience in procurement roles within medium to large organisations.
  • In-depth experience in all types of indirect spend procurement and contract management including tender execution and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to influence and engage people at all levels including senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Results orientated approach to improving business performance and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • A track record in reducing costs and a natural willingness to challenge current practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Strong Excel knowledge.
  • Commercial acumen and reasonable legal knowledge of procurement goods and services contracts.
