
Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality person-centered support to individuals with intellectual, mental health, and/or physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living assistance in the home and community.
- Assist with physical health and emotional well-being.
- Support individuals to and from community-based activities and appointments.
- Track and document an individual's progress through detailed note-keeping.
Requirements:
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Physical fitness and activity are necessary for this role.
- Great social and communication skills are essential for building positive relationships with participants.
- The ability to manage Behaviours of Concern in line with a Behaviour Support Plan is crucial.
- Experience with psychosocial, complex, and challenging behaviours is desirable.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Current Driver's License and own transport are required.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check are essential.
- National Police Clearance and Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate are required.
- First Aid Certification and CPR Certificate are must-haves.
- Right to work in Australia is essential.
