
Support Manager for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to our staff to ensure that we deliver high-quality services to individuals with disabilities.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day coordination and guidance to direct support staff to ensure consistent, safe, and quality care and support.
- Coordinating, supervising, participating in, and overseeing the provision of quality services in all aspects of daily living, including direct support to individuals where required.
- Providing front-line leadership to Support Workers, including management of issues and concerns, performance, interpersonal conflict, and behavioral matters.
- Leading and monitoring the performance of staff and team to deliver quality services in line with guidelines and day-to-day care practices.
- Managing a roster of staff to maintain service delivery across accommodation sites, including replacement of shifts on the current schedule.
- Leading and monitoring the provision of accurate documentation and case file information for individuals and other organisational records.
- Collaborating in developing productive working relationships with peers, staff, and stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of disability awareness and its impact on individuals, families, and society.
- Excellent building teams skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships and provide advice and communicate effectively with management, staff at all levels, and diverse groups of individuals.
- The ability to take prompt action to solve problems, act decisively on your own judgment, and look to go beyond job requirements to achieve objectives.
- Aid and support people with disabilities and their carers through personal care, developmental opportunities, and experiences.
- An attention to detail, checking accuracy of information, following procedures and processes to avoid errors, and taking corrective action to minimise mistakes and notify others when appropriate.
- Interaction with technology, efficiently interacting with systems and applications, adapting to changes in technology and/or systems.
- Administrative experience, utilising experience in administration and clerical duties.
You will require:
- Certificate III in Community Services, Disability, or an equivalent qualification in an appropriate disability-related discipline.
- Possession of Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is desirable.
