Principal Assessment Officer Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for assessing police and adverse information to determine who is eligible to hold a Blue Card—ensuring only the right people can work with children.

As a key member of our regulatory decision-making team, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to support the growth and development of your team. You will be accountable for managing complex cases, ensuring decisions align with legislative requirements, and maintaining quality, consistency, and accuracy in all regulatory assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational direction to the Eligibility Assessment Team.
  • Assess complex cases and ensure decisions are evidence-based.
  • Ensure regulatory assessments are conducted with integrity and professionalism.
  • Manage escalated matters, support team members, and drive process improvements.
