About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Teacher to join our Schools Unit at Box Hill Institute. This part-time position is located at our City Campus and involves teaching in a supportive and comprehensive manner.

As a Teacher in VM (VCAL), you will be responsible for creating and delivering interactive, modern, and innovative content and assessments. You will work with students to prepare them for lifelong success, navigating between education and employment pathways.

About You:

  • Approved 4-year teaching or a postgraduate qualification with an adult or secondary specialisation teaching method, and a supervised teaching practicum
  • Relevant industry qualifications and an AQF 5 or higher vocational qualification
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) full registration
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education (advantageous)
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials, including the ability to select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools
  • Experience developing complex documents that comply with quality standards
  • Proficient in the use of student management systems for attendance tracking, results, and student details
  • High-level ability to deliver logical and engaging course lessons and materials, with experience in managing difficult and sensitive topics and questions
