The Eastern Health Learning & Teaching Directorate is seeking a senior clinician to fill the position of Clinical Simulation Coordinator. This role is pivotal in providing leadership related to the design, development, and delivery of Simulation-Based Education and Training (SBET) for learners and staff to promote excellence in clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities- Support education delivery by providing expertise related to clinical and SBET practices.
- Maintain, function, and ensure the availability of simulation equipment within the simulation environment.
- Collaborate with the Director Learning and Teaching Specialist and Advanced Practice, clinical educators, trainers, and clinicians across all health disciplines to facilitate optimal learning and training delivery and the promotion of inter-professional learning.
- Tertiary healthcare-related undergraduate qualification.
- Current registration with profession-specific regulatory board (with no conditions).
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., Clinical, Education, Simulation) with a Master's level desirable.
- Recency in the delivery of healthcare within an acute setting (within the last 3 years).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering simulation-based education within workplace environments.
- Experience in managing, troubleshooting, and using clinical simulation equipment and audio-visual technologies.
- Experience with development, implementation, and delivery of Standard 8 programs (ALS credentialing preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service approach.
- Demonstrated understanding of conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Excellent computer competency with Microsoft Suite, including data management.
- A current driver's license.
- Recent experience in a leadership role with direct reports of staff.
