About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as a Director of Enterprise Governance. As a key member of our Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the Associate Secretary to integrate, transform, and govern the work of Defence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in governance, assurance, and strategic support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice to Defence's senior leadership on a range of policy issues, exercising initiative and judgement to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Attend senior Departmental committees and draft outcomes and decisions for circulation across senior officials.
  • Lead a high-performing team to deliver strategic, analytical, and decision support to our Defence senior leadership.

Our Enterprise Governance Branch is at the heart of Defence's strategic centre, supporting the integration, transformation, and governance of Defence's work. We provide integrity, assurance, governance, and support functions for Defence through the management of senior committees and enterprise governance and accountability functions.
