We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Assistant. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

About the Role
  • Our ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting the dignity, life, and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities.
  • You will be responsible for encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities, as well as assisting in the design, delivery, and monitoring of lifestyle services and activities.
  • We are looking for someone who can implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents, involving the wider community, volunteers, and residents' family and friends whenever possible.
  • As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assistance with personal hygiene and toileting.
  • You will also provide direct resident care in relation to meal service, mobility, and social support.
  • In addition, you will support your peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit.
Requirements
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are necessary for success in this role.
  • Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar qualifications are required.
  • You must be able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
  • A reliable team player is crucial for this position.
