Water and Wastewater Operator Trainee Opportunity

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Water and Wastewater Operator Trainee. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist in the maintenance and operation of our wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations.
About The Role- You will work closely with experienced operators to ensure the smooth operation of our treatment plants and pumping stations.
- Once deemed competent, you will provide on-call support services as required.
- You will be responsible for undertaking administrative tasks, including recording daily log sheets and maintaining electronic records.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Water and/or Sewage Treatment Plant(s) and raw water pumping stations.
- Provide on-call operations and maintenance service on a negotiated basis as required.
- Operate plant and equipment, including pipe cleaning equipment, pumps, generators, power tools, and vehicles.
- Undertake administration work, including recording of daily log sheets, service request forms, incident report forms, and maintenance of electronic records.
- Higher School Certificate or Equivalent
- Current NSW Drivers License
- A requirement of this role is to complete a Certificate III in Water Operations
- Fundamental communication, literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
- Demonstrated interest in gaining a career in local government
- Demonstrated experience and/or capability to deliver job-specific key accountabilities
- Demonstrated fundamental key capabilities
- Full-time 2 year traineeship opportunity
- The opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Water Operations
