**Job Summary**

The Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pumping stations.

This role involves leading a team of professionals to ensure compliance with regulations, efficient resource allocation, and minimal disruptions to services.

  • Lead and supervise a team of Water and Wastewater Operators and Trainees to complete tasks accurately and on time in line with operational programs.
  • Perform on-call duties, organizing resources for repairs while minimizing service disruptions.
  • Ensure workplace health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, inductions, and maintaining safety documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities at water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations.

- Monitor processes, respond to issues, conduct testing, and maintain operational logbooks in compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Identify and coordinate maintenance activities to reduce breakdowns, collaborating with teams for quotes, procurement, and continuity of operations.

About You:

- Hold tertiary qualifications in Water and Wastewater operations or extensive experience managing water and wastewater systems in a local government environment.

- Possess relevant water industry licenses and tickets, including confined space and chemical certificates.

- Demonstrate expertise in water treatment principles, SCADA, and computer operations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
