Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Ably Resources and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of critical electrical and electronic systems on our offshore vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control all onboard electrical/electronic equipment in line with stringent safety procedures and protocols.
- Develop and propose maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks for optimal equipment uptime and efficiency.
- Analyze material stock levels and recommend procurement requirements to maintain work continuity and minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work activities adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and quality protocols, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and expertise.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to uphold the efficiency and reliability of electrical/electronic equipment, identifying and resolving equipment issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the Electrical Team and participate in daily toolbox talks, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems, preferably in the marine/offshore industry.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, equipment, and maintenance practices, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Unwavering commitment to safety and quality standards in a demanding offshore environment, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results.
