About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Verification and Validation Engineer to join our Hunter Class Program based at Adelaide or Melbourne.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting Mission System (ship) V&V activities, including developing and updating requirements and verification strategies, conducting verification and testing, and supporting other teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mature Mission System requirements by developing changes and resolving issues
  • Verify Mission System requirements through the review, collation and submission of documentation or evidence
  • Create or revise design documents (contract deliverables, system & subsystem specifications, test procedures, test reports, change reports)
  • Managing engineering inputs to the V&V program
  • Review subcontractor documents for acceptable quality and compliance with their obligations
  • Work with external stakeholders such as the Customer, regulatory authorities and subcontractors to develop the Hunter Class V&V program
  • Support the Engineering community in their understanding of the V&V program
  • Interact with the HCF Operations, Quality, Design Assurance and Engineering teams to ensure robust engineering solutions are selected

About You

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in a similar role, experience in implementing Systems Engineering practices and methods, exceptional attention to detail, and a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Engineering).

Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain NV1 clearance is also required.
