Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our diverse client base. This full-time position is based in VIC, providing an opportunity to work closely with our experienced team and contribute to the strategic growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review complex financial statements and tax returns for a range of clients
  • Provide high-level Accounting and SMSF advisory services to our clients
  • Liaise with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Supervise staff when required, enabling a high level of service delivery
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our firm's processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with the broader team to identify business opportunities and expand our client base
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience in public practice or a professional services environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and SMSF advisory
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Experience using BGL Simple Fund, MYOB and XERO accounting software
  • Experience with more complex tax specialist areas such as Div 7A, Capital Gains Tax and FBT
  • Keen interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends and legislative changes
  • CPA or CA qualification
