Job Title: Senior Associate, Intellectual Property

This is a challenging role at our firm where you will be involved in complex intellectual property matters.

  1. You will handle a range of IP work including contentious patents, trade marks, copyright, confidential information, designs, IP licensing and M&A transactions.
  2. You will work with our integrated Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys team to advise clients on the entire life cycle of IP assets, including registration, opposition, portfolio management, acquisitions, litigation, and enforcement.

We offer permanent, full-time opportunities based in Sydney and Melbourne offices. Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

You will have:

  • Experience working in private practice in an intellectual property team in Australia. We also value in-house and overseas experience.
  • Been exposed to a range of IP work such as contentious patents, trade marks, copyright, confidential information, designs, IP licensing and M&A transactions.
  • Experience delegating work and supervising junior lawyers.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong drafting skills.
  • A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
