
Healthcare Standards Director

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the development and implementation of national health standards. This is a senior-level management position that requires extensive experience in healthcare, safety, and quality standards.
- Lead the development and maintenance of national standards consistent with strategic plans.
- Develop and implement agreed work plans in relation to standards, accreditation schemes, and related projects.
- Coordinate multi-year safety and quality programs for national standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop and maintain effective relations.
- Promote priorities and work through various communications and public relations fora.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the program's development and implementation, providing strategic advice, and overseeing project management activities.
- Undertake and oversee project management activities, including developing project plans, budgets, and monitoring reports.
- Establish and maintain networks of key stakeholders to facilitate the work of the Commission.
- Provide advice and assist with the Commission's involvement in relevant committees, working groups, and projects at a national level.
- Manage team members on a day-to-day basis, ensuring deliverables are met to time and to a high-quality.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Extensive senior-level management experience in healthcare and/or public sector roles.
- Demonstrated excellent program and project management experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, management, or other relevant disciplines.
- Clinical experience desirable.
