About the RoleThe Commission seeks a Director to lead the development and maintenance of national health standards.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain national health standards aligned with the strategic plan.
- Manage accreditation schemes effectively.
- Lead the development of updated health standards.
- Coordinate multi-year safety and quality programs.
- Implement work plans for standards development, accreditation, and related projects.
- Oversee project management activities, including budgets, monitoring, and reporting.
- Lead and manage project staff to deliver program outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate expertise in standards development.
- Establish networks with key stakeholders.
- Promote the program's priorities through communications and public relations.
- Represent the Commission on relevant committees and working groups.
- An extensive understanding of Australia's healthcare system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in program or project management.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
