Director of National Health Standards

About the Role

The Commission seeks a Director to lead the development and maintenance of national health standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain national health standards aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Manage accreditation schemes effectively.
  • Lead the development of updated health standards.
  • Coordinate multi-year safety and quality programs.
  • Implement work plans for standards development, accreditation, and related projects.
  • Oversee project management activities, including budgets, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead and manage project staff to deliver program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate expertise in standards development.
  • Establish networks with key stakeholders.
  • Promote the program's priorities through communications and public relations.
  • Represent the Commission on relevant committees and working groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • An extensive understanding of Australia's healthcare system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in program or project management.
