Role Overview:

Anglicare operates various community center-based social support and respite groups, along with overnight cottages throughout Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and Illawarra. Our centers and programs are designed to create enjoyable and empowering experiences, offering engaging recreational activities tailored to our clients' preferences, including games, dancing, exercise, arts and crafts, cooking, and outings.

As a member of our team, you will report to a Team Leader and ensure that older individuals and those living with dementia receive personalized support in a respectful and professional manner, in accordance with their individualized care plans and organizational guidelines. Utilizing your knowledge of wellness and reablement, you will assist clients in maintaining their independence and enjoying their time with us.

These full-time roles require flexibility to work across various sites and programs. We are looking for individuals who can work weekdays and weekends as arranged with management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and leading innovative group and individual activities.
  • Preparing and serving meals.
  • Providing personal care, including assistance with showering and toileting.
  • Prompting and assisting with medication.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workplace.
  • Transporting clients to and from activities.
  • Supporting family caregivers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with older adults and individuals living with dementia.
  • Valid C Class Motor Vehicle License.
  • Registered and insured motor vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
