Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Animal Care Specialist to join our team. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility.

  1. Provide food, water, and shelter for animals in care.
  2. Conduct health checks and maintain animal husbandry standards.
  3. Supervise groups of animals and manage their behaviors to ensure overall wellbeing and safety.
  4. Develop enrichment programs through play and scheduled activities.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe environment by frequent cleaning and upkeep of facilities.
  6. Build rapport with pet owners through regular feedback and transparency.
  7. Create and distribute engaging content for pet owners through videos and photos.

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Be available to attend unpaid work trial shifts.
  • Work weekends and school holiday periods as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and drive.
  • Show attention to detail and ability to follow routines and procedures.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience working with animals is preferred.
