About this Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Data Analyst.

This role involves working with experienced data analysts across various disciplines and has the opportunity to work on issues that drive policy changes and improvements to the wellbeing of Australians.

Your specialist technical and/or statistical skills will be used to conduct complex analysis of employment service program data, develop performance measures, and conduct data definition and derivation activities.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting complex analysis of employment service program data, developing performance measures, and conducting data definition and derivation activities.
  • Developing and delivering reporting products to assist with the dissemination of performance information to various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing and contributing to written material, including official performance briefs, technical specifications, and process documents, analytical reports, and governance papers.
  • Liaising with business areas to understand specific business requirements and the intended use of the performance measure, report, or analytical product.
  • Assisting senior staff to manage data and performance-related projects.

Qualifications and Education

Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, science, mathematics, psychology, demography) or equivalent workforce experience are essential.
