Strategic Environmental Advisor

The role involves providing technical environmental advice to stakeholders, overseeing consultant-delivered reporting, and ensuring compliance with legislation. The successful candidate will develop and implement tailored PFAS management strategies for sites, promoting effective engagement with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate customized PFAS strategies for specific sites
  • Provide technical support to legal teams in relation to legal proceedings involving tenants or potential third-party class actions
  • Maintain active engagement with PFAS-related stakeholders to drive progress on key projects
  • Provide strategic environmental advice to stakeholders, manage consultants, and review technical reports to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Identify, implement, and manage environmental risk mitigation measures
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with Environmental Management Plans and foster a culture of environmental responsibility

The successful candidate will have experience in contaminated land investigations and fieldwork, including the management of contaminated land projects involving complex regulatory regimes and multiple stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of PFAS current regulatory and site management requirements.

A degree in Environmental Engineering / Science (or similar) is required, along with 10+ years of experience in providing environmental advice about contaminated land, groundwater and surface water assessment and management.
