About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Specialist to join our team in Australia and New Zealand. The ideal candidate will be based in Sydney or Canberra, with flexibility for other locations, including Melbourne and Auckland.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping energy policy to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. You will work closely with governments to identify and resolve regulatory barriers to electric vehicle adoption and develop policy proposals to support the growth of clean energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building coalitions of allies within the sustainable transport sector to drive policy change.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to identify and prioritize regulatory barriers to electric vehicle adoption.
  • Developing and negotiating policy proposals for all levels of government.
  • Advocating on behalf of our organization to stakeholders and decision-makers.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of energy policy and regulation.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • 2+ years experience in politics, advocacy, government, or policy.
