Handy Services Job

We are seeking a skilled individual to fill a Handy Services role at our establishment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. This may include building furniture, replacing lightbulbs, and minor repairs.

They will also be required to respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, minimizing disruption to hotel operations.

A regular inspections of facilities and grounds will be necessary to identify and address maintenance needs, record findings, and resolve issues independently or with external assistance.

Maintaining outdoor areas, including walkways, driveways, and parking spaces, ensuring cleanliness and safety, is an important aspect of the job.

The handyperson will also assist with event setup and breakdowns, comply with health and safety regulations and hotel policies, utilizing protective gear and equipment as required.

Additionally, they will maintain a neat, organized workshop and work area, and support other departments as needed.

Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience in maintenance and handyman tasks, preferably in hospitality environments;
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, along with strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures;
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects;
  • Availability for rotating weekday and weekend shifts;
  • A reliable vehicle for commuting to and from work.
