We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be working with individuals with disabilities, providing them with the necessary support and care to enhance their daily lives.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of domestic supports within the home and community. This includes supporting customers to engage in community-based activities, ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed, and performing administration duties, expense and mandatory reports.
You will also be required to work closely with customers to identify their life goals and develop person-centred plans to achieve these goals. This will involve administering medication, providing personal care, and assisting with domestic duties as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will also need to have previous experience with manual handling and medication administration, as well as a willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage situations as they arise with patience and maturity, and will be able to work independently as part of a dynamic team. A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with Activ's motor vehicle allowance rebate) is also essential.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous salary-sacrificing options, opportunities for work-life balance, and training through our RTO. We also provide employee assistance and wellbeing program, free health hotline with unlimited 24x7 confidential health advice, and an accepting and open environment to work and thrive in while giving back to the community.
Please submit your current CV and a few questions answered for consideration. As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete pre-employment screening, including a video interview. All applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be willing to get or already have NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Clearance.
