Special Needs Support Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a child in Year 4 with ADHD and additional needs.

About the Position

The successful candidate will implement strategies to promote behaviour management, encourage focus and motivation, and build positive relationships within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent support to the pupil
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support emotional regulation
  • Encourage positive learning behaviours throughout the day
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to provide joined-up support
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with ADHD and challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management skills and de-escalation techniques
  • A calm and nurturing approach when working with pupils
  • Resilience, empathy, and ability to build trust with children who may struggle in school
