Behavioral Healthcare Specialist

As a Behavioral Healthcare Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences.

This role is ideal for those who are passionate about helping others and want to work in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including health and personal management, achieving personal goals, recreation, and household living.
  • Plan and participate in community outings, schedule and transport individuals to doctor's appointments, shopping trips, and day programs or schools.
  • Be a mentor to other staff, conduct observations, and provide feedback for required training.
  • Use experience and education in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or related fields to actively assist individuals with their personalized plans for daily living.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or a related field is required, or a High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant Human Service experience.
  • Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, complex PTSD, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders is preferred but not required.
