Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Officer to support the Submarine Domain in facilitating learning and development opportunities that broaden knowledge and skill sets.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a team-based environment, actively participating in and contributing to team meetings and exchanging information to support work area and team objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate internal and external training courses to offer a variety of training options including virtual classrooms, face-to-face and online learning.
  • Liaise with Registered Training Providers, Defence Learning Branch, CASG Professionalisation and internal and external presenters for referral process to training courses.
  • Respond to L&D enquiries via the Submarine Group Training mailbox.
  • Provide assistance to the L&D Coordinator with CSMP recruitment activities.
  • Contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, particularly the ability to gain cooperation from others to achieve Defence L&D outcomes. They will also have:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
